These are part of a light-hearted photo series I created named “Out of Habitat”. I wanted to explore the idea of placing animals out of context, in environments they aren't normally found. First, I went to the North Carolina Zoo for a day taking many pictures of the animals there. I then shot various locations. Finally, I used Photoshop to combine the images of the animals into their new environments. I wanted to explore a more lighthearted approach to photography, creating something ridiculous because of its impossibility. I put all of the photos in the series in black and white to unify them and emphasize the comical scene happening in the photos.
