Description: I was tasked with creating a soundscape that healed a specific ailment. I decided to choose breast cancer as my mom just recently finished radiation for breast cancer, and she is officially cancer free (yay!!). This soundscape is about her journey and beginning the process to heal from it, physically and emotionally. I overlapped many sounds together, including but not limited to: sounds from the doctors office waiting room, the beep of a heart monitor, sounds of an MRI machine and radiation machine, and the audio of my mom ringing the bell signifying that she is done with treatment. At the end I added more peaceful sounds; using the windchimes as a continuation of the bell sound, sounds of the ocean, a babbling stream, and more. I had numerous audio tracks that I laid over one another, I played around with different audio effects and transitions, and I worked a lot with audio leveling to reach the final product. I am pretty fond of how this project turned out, and my mom also seemed to enjoy it so I believe it is successful.
